Try Making Sasadango (Niigata Specialty Sweets)

Here you can become thoroughly familiar with Niigata’s specialty, Sasadango, rice dumplings stuffed with sweet bean paste wrapped in bamboo leaves. There is a production room here so that you can watch the process while standing in the store; and you can buy dumplings (Sasadango) as soon as they get made. If you wish (and if you make a reservation, and pay a fee), you can try making them yourselves.
