Three-person mochi(rice cake) pounding
At New Year and on other festive occasions, mochipounding, an activity requiring three people, was carried out in the fine old farmhouse of the wealthy Itoh family. Here you have the chance to try it for yourself with the help of an artisan. Freshly-pounded mochi are delicious.
